Victoria Halpern, MA
Clinical Therapist
Ms. Halpern earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University in 2016. While at ASU she worked in an Evolutionary Social Psychology lab studying the effects of religion and resource availability on intergroup violence. Furthermore, her honors thesis focused on comparing and contrasting various therapeutic treatments for juveniles diagnosed with conduct disorder and the implications this has for juvenile delinquency. This topic sparked her interest in working with justice-involved adults. She moved to Colorado in fall of 2016 to pursue graduate school, earning a clinical field placement at T.H.E. in the fall of 2016. She has also worked with a local trial consultant researching the use of PTSD assessments in civil litigation techniques. In 2018 she completed a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology, and upon graduation continued to work for T.H.E. as a clinical therapist. Ms. Halpern expects to earn her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in 2020.
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. 'So do I,' said Gandalf, 'and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.' ”-J.R.R. Tolkien
